Visit the market town of Bridgnorth, where Charles I declared that the view from High Town was the finest in all his kingdom. Bridgnorth's High Town and Low Town are connected by the steepest inland funicular railway in Britain. Also worth a visit is the medieval town of Ludlow with its 13th century castle and wonderful antique shops. Venture a little further to one of Shropshire’s top attractions, the Ironbridge Gorge known throughout the world as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.
There are various local festivals throughout the year including the famous Ludlow Shakespeare and Arts Festival in June. Burwarton Show in August is another event that is ever popular with exciting main ring entertainment, trade exhibits, farm animals, machinery and magnificent heavy horses, its regarded as one of the best agricultural shows in the region and makes for a great day out. We also have several fishing pools, golf courses and putting greens all within a few minutes drive of Hill View.
Nearby Cleobury Mortimer has a choice of shops and pubs to visit with its Georgian and Tudor architecture and its famous parish church with its twisted spire. Travel a little further up to the Cleehills to relax and take in the far reaching and breathtaking views.
